People
People are Punahou’s greatest strength. From its talented students and passionate faculty to its loyal alumni and families, the Punahou ‘ohana is one of Hawai‘i’s most enduring and vibrant communities of learning. This campaign will help to ensure that all our students have the opportunity to thrive in a diverse learning environment; and by supporting the growth and professional renewal of our teachers.
Place
Few schools have a sense of place like Punahou. Sheltered by Manoa Valley and nourished by the waters of the New Spring, our breathtaking campus is a gift, treasured by generations of students and adults for nearly two centuries. Today, we are preparing for the future with thoughtful campus planning that enhances the landscape of learning so central to the Punahou experience.
Purpose
Punahou’s mission has always been to prepare children for life, in addition to college. Through a diversity of curricular and co-curricular choices that encompass world-class academics, arts, athletics and innovative real-world applications, Punahou’s breadth and depth taps into each child’s potential. Our students are distinguished by qualities like curiosity, passion, resilience, confidence, self-awareness and purpose – qualities that consistently produce leaders and innovators in every field.
Our Progress
Since the launch of Ku‘u Punahou - The Campaign for Punahou School, thanks to the generosity of our community, much has already been accomplished. Every gift is an investment in the future of the School. Together, we have achieved our fundraising goal of $175 million and are realizing the promise of Punahou.
